Yuki Notes

One autumn evening, I took my wife for a ride on my motorcycle. This was my first experience riding double. The purpose of our drive was to go the Japanese spa and bath in the neighborhood. It’s about 7 kilometers to go and back. Although very small trip, I’m happy she had fun. But I was surprised to hear her words. “I want to get a motorcycle license too !” I think that’s a good idea, but I am little worried about that. I wonder if she can upright a fallen motorbike.

This year will end in 3 months too. Looking back on this year, I realized that some of my bucket list came true. First, single life was over, and married life with partner started since from August. I am enjoying new life with her. Second, I got a black belt of Aikido. I go to the dojo once or twice a week. I braced myself up by tightening  a black belt, and I remember the move of Aikido little by little. That is all my achievement. When I look back, while my private life is pretty good, self-growth through work remains stagnant. Habit of continuous learning and output is insufficient.

One more day to weekend! I'm looking forward to make Oden that is a traditional Japanese stew. I will do my best for another day.

Seeing 1st year students, I am little worried about the lack of politeness. For example, the attitude towards class, deadline for submission, and choice of words in daily life. In particular, there are some people who was warned not to use violent language and thoughtless words. Please be careful to make a comfortable school life.

Hi, class. I'm glad you got back safely! You must be tired after the camp. Ordinary schooldays will start tomorrow. Now I have one message to students. Main priority is that you don't be late, you don't be absent. Even if you have not completed homework, please come to school tomorrow. That's it from me. Thank you.

I think students don't like me is  I’m not good at English. It is understandable because my students seek improve English skills. But more important reason may be that I'm not communicative person. I have to change myself little by little.

Seeing challenge of our students made me happy. Especially, group work of translation was so good in the sense of cooperation. Keep up the great work!
